Moment of Truth
Why would you go on this show?!!! I understand the need and desire for money, I live in my moms basement, I could really use the money, but seriously. When a show is on Fox you know they are going to make it as trashy as possible. I have nothing to hide. No big secrets here but my question is how much do you really trust the media? They will find a way to make anyone look bad just for the ratings.
One more thing, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't even use lie detectors as evidence in a court room! Why would you want to risk your family and friendships on something not even reliable enough to be used in convicting a murderer? All for the chance to win up to $500,000. No one has won more than $100,000 so after paying for your divorce, tax's and moving (because all your neighbors now know your deepest darkest secrets) you are left with nothing.
Sorry I just had to rant.
Busy, Busy, Busy!

Life has been crazy lately! Over the last few months at least one of us has been sick nearly everyday. Then there was Max's tooth. He was playing around and slipped. He landed on his face almost knocking out his tooth. (sorry about the snot shot). I took him to the dentist (mind you we have no dental insurance) and he said to just push on it and that I would fall back into place. It didn't get any better so we went back a week later and he referred us to a pediatric dentist. The next day Max was playing and said,
"Mommy, I think my tooth just fell out. I just spit it out."
Sure enough there it was on the floor. The tooth
fairy came that
night. His new tooth will not growin until he is 7 or 8 years old. We have another appointment with our dentist next week so I'm hoping we won't have to put in a spacer or something. I fear it will be expensive!
Steven and I went out the other day and ran some errands. We went to Burlington Coat Factory. Let me tell you they had some really cute things but here is a picture of the cutest outfit ever! Oh, and it's also on the cutest little girl ever. :)
Let me tell you, she is ALL girl! The other day I was at Walmart and I had her try on some shoes. She LOVED it! When I took them off she pointed to another pair of shoes. After trying on 3 pair it was time to go. She screamed so loud when I left the shoe aisle. Yesterday when she woke up and saw the above outfit hanging up she tried to pull it down. When I gave it to her she hugged it and smiled and laughed. It is so much fun having a little girl! Today I painted her toe nails for the first time. She didn't really get it but I sure thought it was fun.I feel like everyday my life as a mother is getting busier and busier. Max is starting T-Ball next month and it is twice a week! I'm excited for these family changes but it is defiantly an adjustment.

The things kids say...
"Before we do all of that I have to show you that dead bird."
"I don't know if I want to see the bird," I replied.
"I need to show you because Heavenly Father says, 'If you want to show someone the dead bird then that's okay.'" Max proceeded to tell me that there was only one wing left and that the rest of the bird was with Heavenly Father.
Elese's 1st Birthday

If you have never made your own cake pan I highly suggest it. My mom has done this for years and it works great!!! If you can draw it on a poster board then you can make it into a cake. 1st, Draw any picture (not too complicated) on a poster board, this becomes the bottom of the pan. Then you use tin foil to make the edges by folding it down, leaving about an inch at the bottom. Then you tape the extra inch to the bottom of the poster board and fold up the sides to make the edges of the pan. Here is how Elese's cake turned out.
These were the cupcakes we had for our guests.
We had crowns for the boys and tiaras for the girls.

Being that this was Elese's first birthday it was really more for her cousins than for her so she just played whiled the cousins played the games.
For the first game we assigned all of the "Princes" a "Princess". Steven then took the "Princes" into the other room and told them a story about how an evil dragon kidnapped their "Princesses" and that they needed to rescue them. Meanwhile all of the girls were hiding throughout the house. The boys all rescued the princesses.
Next we played Kiss the Frog (Pin the tail on the Donkey) . We would blind fold one girl, put lipstick on her and have her kiss the frog. They loved it!!! My sister-in-law Laurie even wanted to play. My other sister-in-law stood infront of the frog with Laurie's son so she kissed him instead of the frog, it was very cute.
And Of Course we had cake and ice cream (as you can tell by my big bum in the background).
Decorating was also fun and challenging since it was Christmas time so here are some of the cute things we did.
