What's wrong with my TV
So over the last few days most of the channels on my TV have a perfect picture but the only sound I get is fuzz. It was working fine and then just stopped. I tried unhooking & re-hooking the cable but it didn't do anything. I don't have cable so I can't call my cable provider about the problem so does anyone know who I would call? My mom's TV upstairs works fine. Last night we watched Heroes and fortunately NBC worked fine until the news came on. Right when the news started we couldn't hear the anchors talking, what we heard was someone translating the broadcast into Spanish. I went upstairs to my moms to see if it was just a problem KSL was having but her TV was working fine. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?

Drunk Pirates and Rock Stars = one fun night!
Last night I attended a pirate themed wedding. For those of you who don't know September 19th of every year is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. So be why they be choosin' to walk the plank on that thar day. I took Trax down to the Galivan Center which is were the wedding was. The machine would only take change and I didn't have enough, I was going to go to the car and get more change but the train pulled up just then and I was allready going to be late so I was a true pirate and me treasure is a free ride (I felt horrible). It was really fun to get dressed up and pretend to be a pirate.

They were married by a Jack Sparrow look alike, served Greek food and had belly dancers and plenty of Grog (ie. booze), it all made for a very entertaining night.
Steven spent the day yesturday directing a music video for Kevin Burdick. The first time I ever saw Kevin perform was on the show 15 Minutes that my husbands office produced about 11 episodes of. I was very immpressed I told Steven I wanted his CD's immediatly. Only a few months later Steven participated in the 48 hour film project for the first time and asked Kevin if they could base their film on his song Firefly(http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Firefly+48+hour+film+project&hl=en&emb=0&aq=-1&oq=Firefly+48+hour+film+projec#). Kevin even had a little cameo in the film and was so impressed that he requested that they make a music video for him (www.kevinburdick.com). Once again he was very impressed and asked them to do another music video for him. Kevin lost a young daughter to heart complications and she has been the heart beind many of his songs, my favorite is Too Good for this World (Dempsy's song). I can't listen to it without crying especially since Justen died you can listen to it from his website. Anyway the video they filmed last night is another song about his daughter called Wake Me Alive. Basically he is in an emotional coma after his daughters death and it is about getting out of it. I'm a little bit of a fan if you can't tell. After the wedding I stopped by the shoot and enjoyed watching my husband film and direct and Kevin sing. It was a very good night and I will let all of you know when the video is complete.

Obsessed with planning
As many of you may or may not know I LOVE planning things, in fact you could say I am a little obsessed. As a little girl I would ask my mom in April to start making my Birthday cards (my birthday is in February) and then I would proceed to call my friends mothers to let them know what gift I would like for my birthday (it's true I really did). When I go on vacation I make list after list of what I need to bring and double and triple check it. I make sure that I pack everything just right so that the first thing I will need is at the top of the bag so I don't have to dig. When I plan some sort of events you will find papers strewn about the house (I need to invest in file folders) with numerous lists on them...what I need to do everyday, what I need to cook everyday...anything you can think of. So as you can imagine when my cousin posted this on her website I got very excited. What could be better than having someone help me organize my planning? Follow this link http://www.100daystochristmas.com/ and check it out. The idea is to get all your Christmas planning done now so that you can actually have the time to enjoy the Christmas season once it arrives. With Elese's birthday being just before Christmas I will do whatever it takes to make Christmas time a little less hectic so I can feel the spirit of Christmas and not let Elese get lost in the shuffle. I've got my notebook together, how about you?

A 4 year old perspective on marriage
This is a conversation Max and his friend Reed had just seconds ago.
Max: That's what I"m going to do, marry a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty , pretty...
Reed: Girl?
Max: pretty girl.
Reed: One with a sparkley dress?
Max: yep
Reed: I'm not going to marry a girl until I'm really big and can drive a car.
Max: Ya, and you can have food too.

It's what fun is!
Last Saturday we took the kids to Lagoon and we had a GREAT time!

This was Elese's first ride ever and she had a great time helping Max make the helicopter go up and down.

She didn't like the planes as much as the helicopter as you can see here. That's her in the left of the photo screaming. Max however seemed to love all of the rides especially the ones we could go on with him.

That's Max's had trying to wave to me as he and Steven flew by on Puff.

This is Max pretending that he is not having a good time. It's pretty sad that at the age of four he already thinks he's too cool for the kid rides.
I guess you could say that I forced them to go on the whale ride...it was my favorite growing up and I was devastated when I became too tall for it. Elese, however, did not seem to love it as much as I did.
(this is me at 2 1/2 loving the whale ride)
(This is Elese at 1 1/2 NOT loving the whale ride)
She didn't even like the carousel...what kid doesn't LOVE the carousel?

They both LOVED the water!

Finally Elese was Happy! And....

TIRED! Steven watched Max and I on the scrambler (he wasn't feeling so hot after the tilt-a-whirl and neither was Elese) and when we got off the ride this is what we found. With all the painting Elese had been evicted from her room a few days before this which meant that she had to take naps at Grandma's or in the front room. She usually has two different naps that add up to 4-7 hours a day and sleeps 12 hours at night. That week her naps averaged 1 hour a day and her night sleep was about 9 hours. I wonder if she would have enjoyed the rides more if she hadn't been so tired.
Max seemed to have so much fun! He and Steven took the sky ride to the other side of the park and he told Steven all about how much fun he was having. I LOVED going on the Tidal Wave with Max and Steven. Max just laughed and screamed with me. He was so well behaved, we were all very proud of him.
After Elese fell asleep we got some dinner and dropped Grandma and the kids off at Uncle Kirk's (Thanks!) while Steven and I headed back to go on the big rides. We tried Wicked for the first time and it was CRAZY! We really had no idea what was going to happen...even after the ride we weren't really sure what happened. It was a very fun ride! As for Cliffhanger...basically you get hung upside down and have water sprayed in your face. The last time we were hanging upside down I said to Steven "This is NOT my favorite ride! Never again!" I HATE having water in my face. I keep a towel close to me in the shower so if one drop gets on my face I can wipe it off...there was no arm room so I couldn't reach my face to wipe off the water. It was my worst nightmare come true. Aside from the Cliffhanger it was a very fun day!

When it rains it pours!
Things have been crazy lately! Last week I spent Monday shopping for carpet. Tuesday shopping for paint and painting my room. Wednesday painting the kids room. Thursday at work where my bosses computer had burned up and her external hard drive had gotten unplugged in April, 4 months of work gone! Thursday night painting base boards. Friday I spent the day getting my Primary Cranium game finished. Saturday we took the kids to Lagoon. Sunday was church and stuff. Monday we moved all of our furniture out of our house into my moms, tore up the carpet, and painted our front room. Tuesday the carpet guy came and installed carpet while helped my mom clean out the garage. Wednesday the city provided dumpsters for our neighborhood so I moved wood all day and cleaned out my moms junk room...now it is a storage room, not a junk room. Then we went through a much needed temple session that night. Yesterday I went to work for 12 and 1/2 hours to get some of the lost info in my bosses computer. Along with all this our bathroom is full of mold and I've been wanting to get it taken care of but I'm feeling like it will never happen since I guess we will have to pay for it. There is no way of knowing the cost until we start tearing things apart...it could be $1000 or could turn into an entire bathroom remodel. So basically all the debt we have gotten out of in the past 3 years of living at my moms house will reappear...humm...will we ever get a house? So today I am trying to get caught up on laundry and get a grocery list together since I"m 5 days late on my grocery shopping. We still haven't hung up our pictures and our closet doors which is what we will do tomorrow (then I'll post pictures of our stuff). Oh, and my moms kitchen ceiling started leaking the other day. I'm on the enrichment committee and we have a Terrific Tuesday (same as Super Saturday) on Tuesday and I'm doing a demonstration on how to make your own cake pans. I was very excited for this but along with everything else it has become just one more thing to get done. We also had to spend $400 in repair for our cars.
Okay so I'm frustrated. I know that these things are nothing compared to what others deal with and 3/5 of my apartment look really nice now and I'm grateful for that. I'm just the type of person that likes to finish things so I've been going non-stop for two weeks and the lack of sleep and physical exhaustion have set in so all I can see are the bad things. But I am grateful that I have healthy kids, an awesome relationship with my husband & Heavenly Father, food to eat... you know all those things but I still feel overwhelmed. Okay, the end of my rant.
