My Crappy day

So today started out okay. I cleaned my tub, my toilet and my kitchen sink with my new hand steamer. Then I cleaned my kitchen and bathroom floor with my nice new floor steamer (mothers day gifts I bought myself). Then I started a load of laundry and went to get Max from a friends for lunch and nap. When I came home there was 1/2 inch of water covering my entire kitchen floor. I immediately put towels down everywhere but I didn't have enough. I started wringing out towels and put about three in the dryer to dry and began wringing out more. Mind you this little flood was all over my the floor I had just cleaned a few minutes before and I was wringing out the towels in my shinny clean tub. I decided to use Stevens terry cloth robe and it held a nice amount of water. I wrung out more towels and could feel blisters forming in my hands. Finally after about an hour of this, my 3 towels were dry. They were all wet again within a few moments of removing them from the dryer. I started just putting the towels in the tub and stepping on them, this saved my hands from the pain, however I'm pretty sure that as I step on one towel the water just moves into another towel. I also moved my grandmothers hope chest into the front room, removed everything from it and tipped it over to keep it from getting water damage.

Max hasn't napped in about a week and thus says "I don't like you", "no", "I'm never going to take a nap" and an array of other nice things everyone loves to hear in the days before Mothers Day. And here I sit as my towels sit in my once clean tub and 1/4 of my floor is still covered in water while I wait for more towels to dry. I don't look forward the rest of the day being filled with doing laundry and getting frustrated with Max since he still hasn't gone to sleep. He just sits in bed and rubs his eyes and gets up every few minutes to go to the bathroom and there is not much I can do about it because clearly I have a few more things to be taking care of. I can't have Elese wake up from her nap and go splashing through the puddles on the floor. To make things even more exciting we have friends coming over tonight. On a brighter note I got my rebate today. YEAH!

You sure like to complain a lot - none of that sounds like a problem for me!!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
