About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".

New Carpet
Max and his cousin Logan thought it would be fun to put the hose in our furnace vent yesterday. I'm sure it was very fun but even so it was not a good idea. Max came inside to tell me how much fun he was having sticking the hose in a a pipe. I then came downstairs to find a little bit of water on the kitchen floor. Once we discovered where the pipes lead we walked onto our bedroom floor and with each step water seeped through. We opened up the closet where the furnace is and found it covered in water! A heating and air conditioning guy came and said that the furnace was okay! HOORAY!!!! Before that we were planning on having Max pay my moms home owners insurance deductible with toys and chores. So to avoid having our house filled with mold spores and also helping Max learn a valuable lesson about not destroying things we are going to get new carpet. We will re carpet everything since the couple that lived here before us had a dog that peed all over the carpet and also two of our carpets were flooded several years ago and never replaced. I'm just hoping that I can find one of those places that will carpet three rooms for $600.

Hey Becky - I recently found this group called FreeCycle... anyway, there was someone in the group in my area that was offering some lightly used carpet, for free. It made me think of you and so I thought I'd just let you know about this (if you don't already), and maybe it could be useful to ya. Good luck with the mess!

It just seems to me that kids should have reasoning ability. Annie will do something and I'll think "what was she thinking"? And then I have to remind myself that she's only 4. At least he had fun right???
