Subdued Excitement

This is OUR new Home! We are very excited. We closed on Friday morning, went to Home Depot and Spent TOO much money and then went out to lunch to celebrate. Not long after that Steven got on a plane and flew away to go on an Alaskan Cruise. Believe it or not but he really wished he cove stayed home. Things have been really exciting but like the title of this post, a little bit subdued. Over the last few days I've been at the house cleaning and putting up painters tape and it's been very exciting and doesn't seem like work at all because it is OUR house but something seems to be missing. It is 1/4 away from feeling like our home because we haven't all been there together sense we closed.

I love having the kids there with me. They are so excited about having there own rooms and every now and then when they get into an argument Elese will storm into her room and slam the door. I'm so glad she has her own room to go to! Max and Elese have discovered the RV parking to the left of our home and it is covered in rocks. Every few minutes they come in to the house with a new rock for their collection. I think I have them convinced that the RV parking area is one big rock collection and the perfect place to keep all the rocks.

This Saturday I'm going to do some painting at the house and I can't wait to make it our own! I'll post some before and after pictures when we are done.
