Our little Poppy Seed *July 28th 2010*

For those that haven't heard we're pregnant! I had suspected it was so for several day's because my mood's were all over the place. Fortunately my friend loaned me some essential oils that helped improve my mood. It was really about a day or two too early for us to find out but I KNEW I was pregnant so I gave in and took the test on July 27th and it was positive. We decided to tell the kids the next day. They were both THRILLED and couldn't decide if they wanted a brother or sister so they decided that they wanted both. Silly kids. They asked how big the baby was and so I showed them a poppy seed. Elese took such good care of that little poppy seed and talked to it like it was a little baby. Before long she dropped it into the couch and was VERY concerned that she had lost the baby. I told her it was OK but didn't realize how concerned she really was until she asked me later where the baby was. I told her it was in my belly and she said, "How did it get back in your belly?" I informed her that it hadn't left my belly and she said, "But you let us hold it?"

I've been given 3 different due dates, one from the receptionist, one from my pregnancy book and one from my nurse so I like to just say that I'm due the 1st week of April. I was pretty sick for up until the last couple of weeks but fortunately I have a great new neighbor who has been kind enough to let the kids play at her house nearly every day. Just this week my work scheduled changed from 10pm-2am to 8pm-midnight so that should help.

All of us are very excited to have a new addition to our family but it is always strange to imagine what it will be like to have another little person in our family.
