Vernal *August 2nd, 2011*

Steven had a shoot in Vernal, UT so the kids and I went along to break away from the mundane day to day summer routine. There was a lot of sitting and waiting at the county court house in the beginning. I ended up having to feed Sam and the receptionist led me into an office. While feeding him the guy whose office it was came in and kept apologizing. He was very nice but I felt like I should have been the one apologizing because I was in his office.

Being in Vernal made me think a lot of my dad. He had to travel there a lot for work and I remember going with him once. I don't remember much about it but just that he had court and my mom and I had to stay entertained outside by a dinosaur statue.

Once we got moving we went for a drive to our moc-picnic location and the views were amazing. While we were there the kids had fun playing in the woods while I enjoyed visiting with the women whose family we were filming.

After the "picnic" we went on a hike. Well...we were loosing day light so it was more like a light stroll that looked like a hike through the magic of TV. Chad was producing this piece and it was fun to see him in that roll. Most of the shoots I go on Steven is the one producing. It was fun to see Chad give us and the kids direction and get down in the dirt for the perfect shot.

Then Chad treated us to dinner and we made the drive home. Steven and I always have a good time visiting while the kids sleep in the car. I'm thankful for a husband that likes to spend time with me.
