Max had made the choice to get baptized and this was the day. He was very excited and took it very seriously. I spent most of the morning making food for our guests. Then we headed over to the church where he was being baptized. They took a picture of Max in front of the font and then had a meeting with all the children and the priesthood holder baptizing them. Max's primary class came to the baptism. Of Course, because we are the Heumanns, Max was the last one to be baptized so we had waited in the chapel for an hour. The little ones were getting quite restless. We had lots of family members and friends there. Everyone who lives in state was there for this special day.
After Max was baptized he was confirmed a member of the church and given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Following the confirmation we came back to our house for some lunch. I made rice with tereyaki Chicken, some wontons, and family brought some salads and desserts to go with it.
Later that day Max got frustrated with Elese and started to yell at her. He immediately stopped, knelt down at the couch and said a prayer asking for forgiveness and then apologized to Elese. If only that behavior had continued after that first week. :) He's a very sweet boy and I love him so much. He knows when people are sad and need help and is very thoughtful and kind.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
