Once again we went to see the elves this year. Steven was able to come with us (after getting home from scout camp) which made it a lot more fun for all of us. After seeing the elves and kissing Sam under the mistletoe...
Over the years we have really enjoyed having a real Christmas tree. This year Steven and the scouts cut down a tree for a family in need and he did a story on it for AYL. We had planned to cut down the tree for our family all together but since he was already there we just had him and the scouts get it. While we were out looking for elves we also looked for our new ornaments. We didn't have much luck at Gardener village because they would have put us way over budget. So off to Walmart we went. Then we headed home to find that our Elf on the Shelf Rosie had returned.
The kids were very happy to see her again and I was happy to have
something (other than me) to remind them how to behave. She was in the bathroom and had written a note on the mirror with a dry erase marker telling the kids how much she missed them. They immediately started making her gifts and letters.
After that it was time to put up the tree (I'm sure we ate dinner at
some point...). This is always full of so much excitement that it can
be tough for mom and dad to keep their cool but we managed and Steven
and Elese even did a little dancing.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
