My friend Cindy had discount tickets to the Princess Festival so she invited me and the girls to go along. Olivia actually had to come because I couldn't have left her for that long because she was only a month old and because she wanted nothing to do with a bottle.
So it was really really hot so I was stressed about keeping Liv cool. Also - Cindy had to take her son to the doctor at the last minute so I was there with her kids and her sister Maria. There was a splash pad and that is where the kids had most of their fun. It was funny to see them just sit in the water in their pretty dresses.
There were story times and random people dressed up acting out different little shows. This was the Alice and Wonderlandish group...you see - the couldn't use Disney princesses so they made up their own but they were basically exactly the same as the Disney ones.
I wasn't very impressed and I really thankful that I didn't pay full price! We did stumble upon a Robin Hood like bunch and the kids loved that. They took them on a lion hunt and we even went into a little cave. Elese was happy as could be and it helped that all the actors were cute. It was fun to have some time with Elese but I don't think we will go back in the future. It wasn't as nice as I had anticipated and the heat was quite miserable...but most importantly I had a good time with my daughters.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
