Melon Days *September 20th-21st 2013*

We left Friday after school for Green River so Steven could film Melon Days for AYL. After we arrived around 5:30pm we walked to the river...
...Where Elese posed -  Balanced and Climbed rocks.
Like always Sam wanted to be just like Elese.
Max climbed the wall by our RV and said he was a "ninja warrior" which is a game show he and Steven had been watching together.
The big kids went on a quick golf cart ride with Steven...
...while Sam admired our awesome RV.
Then there was some tree climbing.

Once the filming for the day was done we went to dinner at Rays Tavern. It was a bit if a wait but VERY worth it.
After dinner we went back to RV and had s'mores and chatted with Guy from ray citte.

Big kids slept on the bunk and thought it was very cool!
In the morning we woke up 6:30 had pancakes for breakfast and headed back to the RV. We relaxed for a minute or two and then went to drive the golf cart to in the parade.  Olivia's car seat buckled in just fine.
Elese met the city royalty and was enamered by them.
Sam liked looking at the old time cars that resembled some of the cars in the Cars movies.
Chad and Ria rod on top of the RV with Guy driving.
We had a little bit of waiting before the parade started so we stayed cool in the RV and Elese loved holding Olivia.
We saw Max's friend Cole and his family while in the parade. Steven took the big kids to river where they got "lizard feet".
I fed Liv and we napped a bit.
They came back ate lunch and then Steven managed to get Sam to nap while the bigs played outside. I was trying to avoid the baby's head getting bonked on the RV and because I was so concerned about her I hit head on the part that slides out. It was VERY painful and I was extremely thankful that it was my head and not Olivia's. Then we went to watch rubber ducks race down river. Steven was filming stand ups and had to squat to make the perfect shot. I thought it was funny so I had to take a (not super fantastic) photo.

We got Packed up headed up to the park for free watermelon and an interview with Buddy Diamond. Apparently he's some famous country singer.  While Steven worked the kids played on playground and discovered some water.
Steven helped himself to some melons and we walked around a bit checking out the booths.
Steven had to finish up a few more things so I grabbed us some dinner from a food cart while Max and Elese had a blast pushing Sam around in the stroller...
...and I did my best to not harm the kids that were swinging from the canopy poles and swearing at each other. At one point on our trip someone sang the national anthem and she tried to be very popish and kept doing runs.  I was not loving it.  When she finished Max said, "I did NOT like that."  We were just talking about it and Elese said, "I didn't like it either!"  Glad I'm training good signers.  :) And then we went home.  The end.
