Fish Lake *June 6th-8th, 2014*

On the way to fish lake. Sam fell asleep right away. It was very cute that he had his legs crossed.
We arrived Friday night. Went to dinner at Bowery haven. Kids were good. Food was good. We bought some ice cream. After getting back up to the cabin we wanted to go for a walk but it started raining. We made some brownies and broke out the ice cream. We Played Mario, read, and Elese and Sam watched strawberry shortcake.  We went to bed around 10pm.  Everyone slept well.
Saturday Morning-
The kids woke up at 6:45. Steven got up with them because he is awesome like that.  Sam helped make breakfast.
Sam: "mommy I making fish lake pancakes!"

Relaxed. Read. Played Mario. Kids found a dead chipmunk. Once we are all dressed and ready we headed up to the view on th other side of the lake. On our way we saw some deer. They were very close and they weren't really spooked by our car.
When we got to the overlook the kids enjoyed throwing rocks off the edge which of course, stressed me out.
Oh Max...
 Lets try again...
Daddy & Sam...

Then we went to a rocky hill and they climbed it.

On the way down we stopped at a little old run down hunting cabin to explore but were turned away by a dead rabbit.
Relaxed at cabin and had some nachos.  Then we went down to fish but didn't have any luck catching anything but everyone was still happy.

It got cold and was sprinkling a bit so we decided to do our picnic in the cabin stove.

We played some more Mario....

put the kids down a around 8:00 and watched some x-men until we started to get sleepy around 9:30.
Sam pooped in the potty two times at the cabin!!

Spent Sunday morning relaxing and playing Mario. Had a FHE on team work.
Packed up as a team and made a stop at penny rock before heading out.
Threw rocks in Johnson reservoir and drove home.

On the drive Sam said multiple times "me want go back to cabin." Max and Elese (mostly Elese) kept saying that she wanted to stay one more day. Maybe we will try to for an entire week next year. (as I write this, more than a year later, I regret to say that we did not make it to the cabin this year.  I think it is the first year in our entire marriage that we did not go to Fish Lake.
