Olivia's first birthday fell on Memorial Day. So off we went to Brunch at Blake's. After brunch Olivia opened presents Presents
and devoured her cake.
She promptly tried to eat the candle and then had a bit of a sugar comma.
After brunch we took the kids home and had Grandma Heumann on call while Max babysat so the grown ups could go see the new X-men. When we got home we had a house full with Grandma, Ally, Michaela, Erinn and Kaitie.Sam was driving Max crazy so after and hour he called in reinforcement.
After the movie I rushed to get food ready for a birthday BBQ at Tim's. We wanted to do something for Olivia but since we don't have a grill Tim said they could host. I cooked BBQ chicken and we all had a good time visiting. The kids all played and Olivia had a cupcake.
Before the BBQ we gave her whole milk for the first time once it was gone she started shaking the bottle over her mouth trying to get out every last drop.
I feel bad that I didn't keep many notes about Olivia at the age of one. I did however, just post several things she was up to at this time http://www.superheumann.blogspot.com/2015/08/what-kids-are-up-to-may-2014.html . I love having her as part of our family, and now, at 2 and a half, she is quite a handful.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
