Steven has been out of town a lot this month and on Tuesday he told me about even more times he will be out of town. I'm very tired of parenting alone on the weekends. It will end up that he will have been out of town 5 weekend's in a row. It is for various things; 2 scout camps, one guys weekend with his brother and Nephew, one short film shoot for Broken Soldier, and one shoot for work.
Needless to say I need a break. So Steven called in sick today (maybe I shouldn't put this on here in case his boss sees it), and we went to the Anniversary Inn last night and got a couples massage in our room this morning. It was so nice to get away and not worry about the kids waking us up in the morning. It was very nostalgic because the only room that was available that had enough room for a couples massage was the Carriage Suite and that is where we spent our wedding night. It was fun to reminisce but more fun to have a night away from parental duties.
We are going to be going to dinner and bowling with the kids in a short while so all in all it has been a fun 2 days.

Good for you Becky!! You guys deserve it. I HATE when Paul has to go out of town, although it does make me appreciate all he does when he is here :) Glad you guys had fun!
Parenting alone is the WORST and you deserve a break. That sounds like a fun date night.
