I thought I would share some of my recent and most intellectually stimulating conversations I have had with my son over the last several days.
"Mommy, what if batman was really called shatman and bats said shat all the time."
"Mommy, did you know that Milk used to be called Jilk? Really it did. I promise."
"Mommy, how do you say cheese in Spanish?" "What if it was really called Jaso. I think it used be called Jaso in Spanish a long time ago."
"Mommy, when I build my Iron Man suit its going to be able to see through other masks. Yeah, yeah and then I'll say, 'Hi Bruce Wayne' and he'll be like 'hey, how did you know my name' and then I'll say, "Because I can see through your mask and I saw the movie."
Steven told Max that he would be the man of the house while he is gone. Max was sure to tell everyone at church that he is the man of the house. Then he just asked me if we could have mommy and Max time and then he corrected himself, "I mean mommy and daddy time because I am the man of the house."
Steven is in Canada. He has only been gone since Friday but I'm already missing the break from silly talk and super hero talk...OK the super hero talk would continue but I could do away with all this talk about Jilk.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
