This year Max entered the 3rd grade. I cannot believe my little boy is learning fractions-multiplication-division-and having crushes on girls-yep girls plural! (Lexis & Jordyn in case his posterity was wondering).
Here he is on his first day of School. Steven drove him so this is me saying goodbye.
I have to say that at this point (3/20/13) this seems to have been his best year. Maybe it's because I help out in his class twice a month or simply because Ms. Milkanin has much better control of the class than his previous teachers did. Or-perhaps it's just because all the kids are growing up. I love being involved and being in his class. It is so much fun to see him socialize with the other students. When he tells me about his day and what everyone was up to or who was sick I really feel like I know the kids. One cute girl-Shelby-even told me all about how she hates going to speech class while Celeste told me that I'm her favorite person to read to because I always remember her name. I'm so thankful to my cute neighbor Jennie for switching babysitting with me so that I can do this. I know it is very beneficial to Max to have me there but I also know that lots of his classmates struggle at school and at home and I do my best to pay attention to them and their needs and I hope that they feel loved and appreciated while I am there.
Later that day we went to the Aviery with our wonderful Pass of all Passes. We had tried going a few times but once was a holiday and the other was when we found out you could only go on Monday's. Ugh! It ended up being a really enjoyable family outing.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
