Birthday Boy Max *February 19th 2013*

It's hard to believe that Max is 9!  After his baptism last year he's just getting closer and closer to getting the priesthood.  Max is a very good kid.  He is still enjoying karate-playing with friends-and being a great friend and example to his brother and sister.  Friends are important to Max and he wants everyone to be friends.  One friend is never enough.  Max likes to have as many friends over as possible so they can play fun outside group games.  I'm so thankful for Max.  He is the perfect first child.  Max is very closely connected to his emotions and the emotions of others.  If I am ever having a hard day he always gives me a big hug and asks if I'm OK.  When Max is having a hard day he try's so hard to hold in his anger or his tears.  I've been trying to let him know that his feelings are ok and to not be afraid to feel them.  His biggest challenge is keeping them in check when he is around his friends.  Sometimes he also worries about getting too angry at school and getting in trouble.  The older he gets the more testosterone he's got going through his vains but he does a great job controlling his temper and is trying to get it out by punching a pillow or going for a bike ride.  Max earned his Wolf in Cub Scouts.  I love him so much and I'm so happy he is part of our family.

On the 16th we went as a family to Planet Play for pizza and fun.  I kept Sam entertained in the little kid area while Steven and the big kids had fun with the arcade games and Laser Tag.  We found a really fun game that would take your picture and you would have your face by a car and drive around.

On his actual birthday we invited Grandma Hale and G&G Heumann over for dinner.  Max had been patiently waiting to get a Bey Blade called Burn Fire Blaze and I was finally able to locate one online.  This gift came from Grandma Hale and Max was thrilled to say the least.
Bey Blade's are Max's passion and he knows all the details about them.  He plays them with Travis & Teight as well as his friend Cole from School.
