Considering the child growing in my tummy Sam had become increasingly aware of belly's. While having dinner at Heumann's one Sunday Sam found a photo of someone with a much flatter belly than mine. It kept him entertained for quiet some time.
While swapping out Sam's clothes for bigger ones I came across this old pare of Max's underwear. Sam was only happy about it for long enough to get a picture. Then he was ready for a diaper again.
When I was in need of a rest the big kids would "help out". Sam was fascinated with Elese's rain coat and boots. While laying on the couch he came around the corner in this get up.
For about a week he would put the jacket on at least once a day.
In January I was sick for quite a while. I stayed in bed for a couple of days because I was so miserable. While I laid in Bed Sam would drive his cars on my belly and Max and Elese would play on the computer.
After a visit to the doctor (1/18/13 the day these photo's were taken) I was told that I just had a bad cold. She checked my ear's and everything. VERY early on the 20th I was in excruciating pain! Worst pain I'd EVER felt. The pain was in my ear...my ear the doctor had looked at. After a blessing and Steven helping me to relax the pressure went away. When I woke up later there was blood on my pillow and I couldn't hear out of my right ear. I had ruptured an ear drum. We went to the insta care where we learned that a very sever ear infection had caused the rupture. I wasn't happy. He said I may not get my hearing back and for me to go see an endocrinologist in a couple of weeks. This was not the news that I wanted to hear. There was ringing in my ear that lasted a couple of weeks and it was very annoying to not be able to hear. I was mad at the docotor who had told me I was fine. Also - Broadway NATTs was going to be difficult enough pregnant let alone deaf in one ear. It was really strange to answer the phone and put it to my right ear and not hear anything...it took a while to get in the habit of using my other ear. I can say now (7 month's later) that I can hear again and the pain and frustration from this event is a distant memory.
