Pre-baby May *May 2013*

I did my best to enjoy my last few weeks with just my little Sam Bam.  He and I would eat lunch together before his nap.  Sam enjoyed eating gogurt but would only eat a bite or two and then get frustrated and throw the rest away so I started squeezing it onto his plate for him but then he would get it on his hands.  He really is a very particular boy.  Those apples there are ones I had cut up for the dehydrator but let Sam have them pre-dehydrated.  Sam loves reading the blog book. He points to the pictures and says "Mama" - "DaDa" "Bubu" (Max) - and "Sss" (Sis).
Sam also tries really hard to be a big kid.  He loves putting on Max or Elese's helmets and trying to ride their bikes and scooters.

I got HUGE...
I gave Sam a juice box and left him alone just long enough for him to squeeze it all over the couch.
Steven took Max and our babysitter (whom we pay with comics) to free comic book day.
With Steven's help Max entered the Ride On Video contest.  There was a special red carpet screening and participants got gift bags and the 1st place films for each age group were viewed.  Unfortunately the sound wasn't working so we couldn't really appreciate the films. Chad and Ria were the MC's gave Max an award for participating. Max was very hopeful that he would win and get $300.00 cash to spend on sparing gear.  Despite being disappointed Max fought back the tears and tried to have a positive attitude and began making plans for his film for next year.
On May 21st all of the third graders put on a Wax Museum.  They studied a historical figure - did a report on them - and then dressed up like them for the Wax Museum.  Max did his report on Leonardo DaVinci.  It was really fun to hear him come home from school each day and tell me all the details about each students report.  He loved learning about all of these people.  With a few cotton balls and some glue we managed to create a beard.  He sat so still and didn't even notice that I was there for a bit.  They would play classical music and give the kids breaks every 5-10 minutes.  Sam liked to look at everyone too and would point out Max's friends.  He was so excited to see Kartr.  I enjoyed seeing all the kids that I had gotten to know throughout the year.  I was sure I was going to go into labor after this because Sam made a run for the play ground when we were trying to go back to the van.  I chased after him and had several contractions throughout the rest of the day...but still no baby.

On Saturday May 25th Steven took the kids on a fun hike in the morning so I could sleep in and enjoy some quiet.  They had a great time and I enjoyed the house all to myself.  While on the hike they came across a snake and they were all very excited to tell me all about it when they got home.
