One reason I was hoping Liv would be born early was because I knew the 48 hour film project was fast approaching. Steven went down Friday Night and they drew Horror (I think) and they decided to go for the wild card. Then they drew Sports. Horror and sports were the only two genre's that had no ideas for. So they stayed up thinking a lot and came up with a hunting movie but it's not your average hunting movie...the Human's are the hunted and the monsters are the hunters. They set it up as a mocumentary and used the Uncovered America news program they created for the 48 hour film project several years ago and Terry Wood reprised his roll as himself.
Saturday was the filming day and I really wanted to go. So I packed up the baby and we headed out to a cave in Farmington. There I was with my 5 day old baby hiking a mountain. Fortunately it wasn't much of a hike.
One of the monster's - whose name is not coming to mind - was so thoughtful about me and the baby. There he was super hot in all his latex make up and he wanted to make sure the baby and I were in the shade and had a place to sit. So Liv and I sat in the shade of a cave where she had her first of many blow outs. So there I sat - squatting on a rock changing a 5 day olds diaper and clothes in a cave. It was an adventure.
After that we headed to Monsters house whose name I don't remember. Once again he was so nice and made sure I always had a place to sit. We filmed my scene there. There was only one more scene to film and they had to wait for sun set so the guys headed back to the office to capture some footage. Steven rode back with me so we could spend some time together.I fed Liv in Ria's office and headed home.
For someone who doesn't like taking new babies in public I sure didn't stick to my guns. I took her to the screening and to the awards and we went out to eat after as well. She did pretty well sitting through the movies. I did have to take her into the bathroom to nurse during the screenings. We won best writing (which came with a 5 punch pass to Centered City Yoga) and Audience Favorite.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
