The First Salt Lake City Comic Con! *September 6th 2013*

Because Steven had previously worked for Newsarama at New York ComicCon he was able to negotiate some free tickets for himself. I bought me a ticket and then each of us could get two kids in for free. Our friend Marcus wanted to join us along with his son Ethan and he also wanted to borrow Steven's Joker costume. Sam freaked out when Marcus was put on the costume. He screamed and cried for a good half hour. He was very upset when he saw me loading his car seat into the Jokers car.

I atended the con in my cop out costume - Lois Lane. Olivia was wide eyed and somewhat confused to see me sitting next to her in the car.

When we arrived it smelled like lake effect and was very smoggy. I worried about Ethan and his asthma but he was fine. Parked in a parking structure for $5 which sure beats paying 15 to take tracks. Comiccon was very crowded  and Elese held very tight to our hands. I forgot the stroller so Steven carried Sam and I carried Liv. Steven had been fighting a long lasting nasty cold and was so tired after carring Sam. Max seemed to enjoy it the most. E found some princess paintings she liked. Max bought a comic and a drawing of Rafeal. Iwanted my picture with Dean Cain but it would have cost $40 and I wasn't willing to pay that! Ran into Brad Pilling and his girlfriend along with Ryker and Jaden. On the way home Liv was crying and Sam would reach over to hold her hand - it was very sweet. Before long he let go and started plugging his ears instead. He is also sick and very whinny. Elese may have an ear infection and was holding her ear most of the con. Marcus got lots of attention as the joker and got his photo taken several times by strangers. He felt like a rock star. Steven also had requests for photos with him. They kids got balloons. Elese's favorite part was a wonderwoman painting and toy. By the end we were all so tired from our colds that we just sat at a concession table waiting for Marcus and Ethan to be ready to leave. I wasn't overly impressed with the whole comic con experience but I'm sure if we had brought the stroller and we hadn't all been under the weather that we would have appreciated it much more.
