Max slept in Elese's room with her and they woke up about 6am. After watching Elese open birthday presents and opening gifts the night before Samuel was ready to go. Santa brought Max a Spy Watch, Elese a Kareoke player, and Sam got a little play table.
I had made Steven's parents and my mom a Choose Your Love Love Your Choice cross stitch and put it in a frame with wedding photos of all of the kids. Little did Steven know, I had been working hard on one for him when he would go out of town for work and scouts.
Then brunch at the Heumanns and we rushed off to church where I was leading the choir! It was a very stressful but fun thing to do. With lots of prayer and inspiration we had a great program and people finally started showing up to sing after threats of dismemberment from Brother Collins of the bishopric. :) We had many compliments on how the program went. I am not the choir director but our choir director's husband had been diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis was not good. He has since passed away. My plan was to tell the story of Christ's life form all perspectives. I found a song that was about Mary that pulled it all together. I also sang a solo and Steven narrated the program. We ended with the congregation singing I Know that My Redeemer Lives. I was so happy that I was guided to the song choices because it was a struggle to come up with them on my own. There was some skepticism from choir members as to why we were singing I Know that My Redeemer Lives on Christmas but I won them over in the end.
Then to lunch at the Hale's where we got a new camera (not fantastic but better than my phone)!!! Yeah. The photos from here on out (until Steven gets sand in it at Scout Camp) should be better than photos of the past. I do not have photos to show because I opened the camera at the end and spent the rest of the time testing out different settings...it did not get any good photos.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
