On December 16th we headed down to Brian Head to stay at the Chateau Summit Lodge. On the way we stopped at Denny's and had dinner with Steven's office manager Julie. Elese thought she was fantastic. While waiting at Denny's we let Samuel wear Max's stuffed animal, Stripes, as a hat. He loved it.
When we got close to the location we had to park our cars and get picked up by a shuttle with snow mobile like tread for tires. Elese need to go to the bathroom so we stopped at a restaurant and Julie kindly offered to take her in to the bathroom. Elese didn't make it in time and Julie took such good care of her. We waited a while and when they finally got to the shuttle Julie filled me in and said she had gotten a towel from the bathroom. I assumed it was paper towels but apparently it was a high class bathroom and she had stolen a hand towel. Makes me laugh every time I pull that hand towel out of my linen closet.
Once we arrived we opened up the suit case to get out PJ's and Rosie (our elf on the shelf) was there. She had followed us on our trip!!! The kids were thrilled!! We put them to bed and Steven and I hung out downstairs with others from our group and visited for a while.
On the 17th we played air hockey, went on a walk, did some sledding, played with toys and popped pop corn and watched Home Alone. It was both fun and relaxing. That night they (the Lodge Owners) fed us a great meal and we headed home that night.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
