Birthday Girl *December 21st 2011*

We like to celebrate birthday's all month long.  It's much more common with Elese because December is such a busy month.

December 4th, 2011
We celebrated Elese's birthday with the Hale's.  She opened presents and blew the candles out on her chocolate peppermint cake (YUMMY!).

She had a little trouble with the candles.  

 December 10th, 2011
The birthday girl wanted a Harry Potter Birthday Party so that's what she got.  We had it earlier in the month to make it easier for us and our guests.  Steven created a very cute invitation that looked just like something you would get from Hogwarts if you were a real Wizard or Witch.  This it what it said:

Come witches and wizards
there's a party, you see,
at Elese's house
from one until three.

The crystal ball says
"her birthday is near"
So join us for fun
And lots of good cheer.

Our camera was broken but lucky for me my brother Spencer had a nice new camera and took lots of pictures for us. 

Max was Harry Potter for Halloween and Steven had made him a wand so I put Steven to work and he spent all morning making wands for all of the kids.  Once they arrived the chose their wand and then got to paint it.

Then the sorting hat (Steven stood behind the wall) sorted them into classes.

After the sorting it was time for potions class.  There was love potion, snake blood, some sort of spit and something else.  It really was Tropicana OJ, Cranberry Juice, Apple Juice and Sprite.  Each of the kids got to mix the potions and then enjoy a yummy drink. At the hospital I delivered my kids at they give you those 4 drinks in equal parts and I love it!  The bigger kids always drink it all when they come to visit.  It was a great excuse to make it at home and I also knew that it would taste good. 

At this time we had Elese use the spell "Accio Present" to get her gifts.  Shaylee gave Elese a big hug and couldn't let go and then she shouted "I had the love potion!!!"  So cute!

Then came cake and ice cream,

 

After gifts Harry Potter showed up to teach our guests how to fight off a dementor and it was a good thing because then a dementor showed up!!!  

Then it was time for everyone to practice their "accio" spell.  And what do you think they wanted to locate?  Treats of course!  "Accio Treat!!!"

No doubt about it, we had a blast!

Later that night as a family we continued the celebration at Temple Square to see the lights followed by dinner at Training Table.

At the Heumann family birthday party Elese got a round brush stuck in her hair and opened presents.  

December 21st, 2011

This is Elese's actual birthday.  She opened her presents in the  morning and then we had a family Bethlehem dinner that evening.   At this point, we still had no camera...but we would be getting one soon enough...
