Thanksgiving Shoot 2011 *November 11-12*

This year for the Thanksgiving shoot we went to Goblin Valley.  Once we arrived there was and RV for us to sleep in. We got the crib all set up for Sam and tucked everyone into bed.  Then I got up over and over again because Sam wanted nothing to do with his crib.  In and out of our bed he went resulting in a horrible night of sleep.  The next morning Steven had to shoot some product reviews so the kids and I tagged along.  Martha (the wife of a co-worker) also has a baby but she also has an 11 year old to help out.  She was so great and took Max and Elese for ATV rides while I sat in the car nursing Sam and then holding him while he slept.  I enjoyed just hanging out and reading while Steven worked and the big kids loved riding on the ATVs.

(If you are paying attention you will notice that Elese is wearing the same coat that she burned a hole in at last years Thanksgiving shoot.  I found some mock-fur and fixed it up.)

After that shoot we headed out to the goblins where everyone played a wild game of tag in the Goblins.  It was lots of fun and Max and Elese LOVED it!  Sam and I found a nice spot and sat there and observed.

That evening we had a Thanksgiving feast and then made the drive home.  I made some pies and cheese cake and the cake was a hit.  We escaped to Chad's RV with his girls so that we could stay out of the cold.  On the way home we saw Tyler (at that time, an intern) stopped on the side of the road so we stopped to check on him.  It ended up that he was just looking at the BEAUTIFUL MOON that night...I tried to take a picture but that didn't really work.  Then we stopped and filmed it for a minute and got on our way.  Not long after that we stopped again because I wanted the kids to see how clearly you can see the stars in the middle of no where.  This time Tyler stopped to check on us.  Most everyone else stayed one more night but we had to get home for church in the morning.
