We left Wednesday evening and drove in the RV with Darrin and Keith. Alisha
and her fam followed in their car. While driving into Wendover Sam was
in awe at all the bright lights and would point and make happy sounds.
Elese had a stuffed bunny and we played catch with it on the drive.
After a couple u turns we finally found our destination. Steven and Max Elese slept in a tent
, Darin and Keith slept in another tent
, Alisha BJ and Austin slept in the bedroom of the RV
, Jaden and Colton on the bed above
the drivers seat and
Sam and I slept on the table...well made into the
bed. Sam would scratch the bed a little or tap on it
buy eventually fell asleep once Alisha yelled at Jaden and Colten for
being too loud. The biggest
bother was that we had no TP so we had to use paper towels and throw
them in the trash.
Steven built a fire with Darren and made breakfast burritos for everyone.
I took Max
, Elese
, and Sam on a
hike up a trail. They ended up with lots of places to climb. They got
very high.
Sam wanted to be carried or piggy backed lots of the time.
It wasn't too bad...no contractions. I just called it a work out and went with it.
Once
Sam wanted to go down for some water and he also picked up a deer
pellet and tried to eat it so I told the kids we had to go back. Sam was
frustrated he couldn't go as high as the big kids but he still had fun.
By this time Jaden and Colton
had caught up with us. I told them we had to go back so they wouldn't be out there all by themselves. They argued and made
excuses so I said they could stay and take it up with their parents. Max
was mad because he wanted to stay so he ran ahead and found Steven and convinced Keith to go
down as get Sam water so they could stay. I wasn't very happy that he
went to dad to get the answer he wanted. Sam and I stayed with Steven
where we had a good view of the kids. I had to yell to Max to stay with
Elese I was surprised I wasn't super stressed about them falling but I just wanted them to stay together.
After a bit the kids came down after finding bones. J & c had
already left to camp. I was resting on the Atv until all the kids pushed
me off. Little punks. At that point I was ready to head back. I
carried Sam for the last bit. Alisha hollered and offered to bring an
Atv to pick us up but we were good. I tried to get Sam to nap but we
ended up sitting on the bed looking at books. Alisha had asked me to watch
Austin who was sleeping. Once he woke he wanted Sam's books. Sam would
not share...until he was ready. He finally, of his own volition, decided
to give him a book. Austin (8mo) immediately tried to eat it. Cute boy. Steven
returned from filming. Took Sam on an Atv ride and Sam was in HEAVEN! (yes
, that is my finger in the shot)
After that he would find helmets and beg to go on rides. Then it was Elese's
turn and then he took Max to film for the Ride On Video contest. We had
hot dogs for lunch and hung out by the RV. Sam saw a bug and wouldn't
get off my lap for an hour because he was so freaked out about it. Later Darin said, "have you guys seen these
big bugs?". Sam immediately started screaming and crawling on my lap.
When I set him Down he went crazy with fear. Steven got back from filming and we had an argument. I had been frustrated and a little jealous that he had been going on all these fun shoots lately and now that we were all together I felt like work was the priority and I was very frustrated and pregnancy hormones didn't allow me to express myself in a very calm manner. We had a
chat. It didn't end well. It's probably the worst fight we have ever had (we don't fight much so I guess that doesn't really mean much) but all is good and we eventually worked things out. Then he filmed a
little more. On the way home
Max is did his homework and wrote his speech for 3rd grade mayor which ended by saying "I'm the only Heumann candidate. The rest of these guys are aliens." Elese
drew and Sam is slept.
