Fun with Sam *August 2013*

With the kids back in school it fell to me to keep Sam happy and entertained. It was time to get back to a routine.
We switched to whole milk middle of august.  Sam kept asking for more milk as we finished off the 1%. He would have a full sippy and open the fridge and point to the "red milk" (as the big kids call it because of the red lid).  He must have remembered the good stuff from before he turned 2.
I tried to take some very cute pictures of Olivia and Sam jumped in the picture.

Max did the same thing when Elese was a baby.
Sam and I started a fun game while Olivia would take her morning nap. I would watch him ride in circles around the van. Occasionally I hide and he'd scream "MOM!!!" then I would pop out and he would laugh so hard. Oh - and he always insisted on wearing Elese's bike helmet.
One afternoon while he was supposed to be napping Sam got out of bed. I told him to go back. He ignored me and sat on the couch (I was feeding Liv). I just fed the baby and looked at my phone. After about 5 minutes he just got up and walked down the hall. After I finished feeding Liv and I found Sam sound asleep in his bed. If only getting him to nap was still that easy...(4/2014 has been tough for naps).

One day Sam pretended that his blue ball was a pillow.

Sam loves to be in the kitchen so any time I would bake treats or cook dinner he was always by my side. On the 27th of August Samuel and I made energy bites while Olivia lay on a blanket in the front room.
Olivia was crying and I kept saying "We are almost done honey - be right there." When I went in the front room to finally get her this is what I found.
I swear she started out on the blanket and at this point she was not rolling over yet. I have no idea how she made it all the way over there!

Once the kids got back in school Sam Liv and I would go for a walk. I noticed that Sam had started calling dogs "Woofs" instead of doggies like he used to. Quite often I would think he was saying daddy and not doggie. I love how he was clever enough to figure out a solution by saying Woof instead.
