Steven had been in Sacramento spending time with David and Stephanie. I think that this was the trip that he took with Tim. I will eventually write a post all about everything (I can remember :-/) that happened with Stephanie. Anyway Steven got home late Sunday night after the kids were in bed so he gave them blessings. Sam was very intrigued by it and Steven gave him a blessing as well. He was so excited. The kids got up at 7:00am and wanted pancakes for breakfast. Then there was our photo-op.
I dropped the kids off for the red carpet. I hadn't planned on staying to watch them go in because I figured Sam would be difficult. Once I drove away I decided I'd better stay. I had to park far away. Lassig's let Max and Elese get in line with them so they were up closer in line than I had expected. I knew I made the right choice to stay when I heard Elese yell "Mommy!" when she saw me walking up. It's good she yelled because I may not have seen them because they were almost at the carpet by then.
After that I headed home with hopes of finally getting Liv on a nap schedule. It took a while to make that happen but eventually she got on a pretty good schedule. Both the kids took good morning naps so I was able to prep dinner - get the dishes done and get the laundry done. Man I miss Sam taking two naps (4/23/14)! Once they woke up Sam and I watched A Barbie Movie (he loves these btw) then I took the kids with me to Segal Book and Tape. That's when I bought this book.
I love reading it and look forward to it every day during afternoon nap. I really believe that this has made a huge difference in my spiritual progression. When I first started reading I would have some type of spiritual revelation almost every day. I think the Lord had lots to tell me but was waiting for me to be available to receive it. While out picking up the book we dropped off Elese's Epi-Pen at school.
After school I asked the kids about their first day of school and this is what they said.
Max: I like my teacher (Mrs. Weaver). Jordyn looked pretty. Talked a bunch with
Parker. I got yummy book worms from mom (I gave them "book worms"/gummer worms for after school snack). Freddy was doing a may-a
thing-chases you and hugs you. My class was the best class! Quiet in
hall not talking while working. It was SO quiet.
Elese: had three recesses and went on the big playground twice! She
seemed very happy to see her friend Caitlyn. The first thing she said
when she got in the van was "I have good news! We don't have any
homework this week!"
I love these kids. Sometimes picking them up from school can be so overwhelming because they both start immediately telling me everything about their day. Once I get past the chaos of it all I love listening to them talk about their day and I hope they never stop telling me all the little details of their days.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
