Elese is 4 (well, has been for a while) *Dec. 21st, 2011

We didn't do a friend party this year because she doesn't have a lot of friends her age in the neighborhood...but mostly...I didn't feel up for it.

The day started out with some art work with Max and then we met daddy, Grandma Hale, Evan, Crystal, and their girls for lunch at Cancun Cafe (the rice and beans place). It wasn't a surprise that Elese didn't eat much because all she could focus on was her gift she wanted to open. Once we finished lunch we went back to Grandma Hale's to play with her cousins. She loved having Brooklyn play dress up with her.

The next day we had a birthday celebration at the Heumanns and once again Elese loved opening her gifts. Uncle David, Aunt Stephanie and Tyler were in town for Christmas so it made her birthday celebration extra special. Because I was asked to make the cake it was a wonderwoman cake, fortunately Mark and Jordan didn't mind having a girly cake.

A few things about Elese at the age of 4
*Loves playing with Max
*Is starting to get a little jealous when Max get's daddy's attention
*she is sex specific when it comes to her play mates-she prefers playing girly games with girls
*She struggles with major mood swings...can't wait for her to be a teenager...EKKK!!!
*She says the cutest things which fill up my facebook status' quite quickly
*She is so excited to be a big sister
*She loves to talk about girl stuff with mommy like princes and princesses and lipstick and make up

Funny things she has said this year.

11/21/2010 after feeding the missionary's dinner and while sitting on the couch visiting Elese came running out of the bathroom yelling, "Mommy, I pooped and it was A LOT of poop!"

11/27/2010 @ Riveras Elese: "Mommy I want to go home." Me: "Why, what's wrong?" Elese: "It's not like I broke anything." Me: "Then what happened?" Elese: "I broke something."

12/8/2010 While driving home from the library and singing along with Christmas songs Elese said, "Mom, you need to sing louder so I can hear your beautiful voice." It made my day. :)

12/16/2010 Max: "I want to be a paleontologist when I grow up because I'm smart and Paleontologists are smart." Elese (near tears): "I'm smart too but I don't want to be a a paleontologist!"

12/20/2010 After Max told about a boy in his class who always has to change his card at school for picking his nose Elese said, "Mommy, I'm not going to pick my nose anymore. Picking my nose makes me happy."

12/22/2010 Elese got an Ariel baby from Grandma Heumann for her birthday. Steven: "Elese do you think Sam is going to look like your new Ariel baby?" Max: "No, Sam is a boy!" Elese: No! Sam isn't a sea creature"
