Just lounging around...
When we were making the move for Sam to a big kid bed someone suggested we use a water noodle to keep him from rolling out of bed. You just put it under the fitted sheet. Unfortunately Sam's fitted sheet isn't really all that fitted so it would just roll down to the side of his mattress. It eventually became more annoying than productive so we decided to recycle it by turning it into swards. It kept the kids entertained for a few minutes.
Samuel loves reading stories and it has become his nap time routine. Are You My Mother is one of his favorites. Another important thing to know is that Sam's favorite food (at the time) was eggs. While reading this book to him on August 1st he pointed to the egg and said "nummy!" and then he pointed to the bird and said "mmmm...nummy".
On August 4th Elese officially learned to ride her two wheeler and she was so proud of herself. Look at that cute shy grin. Every time she would ask to go to her friends house she would give me that same shy grin and say "Can I ride my bike?"
Steven's niece Heidi moved to Vegas to live with her dad and finish out her High School years. I love that Heidi and really miss seeing her face and chatting with her. She came to visit for a day or two so we had a girls night. She was so excited to meet Olivia.
That same night was our ward picnic so Steven took the kids to that while I got to enjoy spending some time with Heidi and all the other girls. Everyone had a great time. The kids liked climbing around on the hills. Samuel loves his freedom and enjoyed just wondering (with daddy near by) in the mountains.
August 10th was the Chino 3rd ward reunion. Steven and I enjoyed visiting with his old friends while Max played with Jordan and Elese helped out by chasing Sam around. Samuel desperately wanted me to play with him so eventually I played with him on the playground.
Olivia was becoming quite smiley so I decided it was the perfect time to make her pose for a photo. She's so beautiful and sweet.
Samuel loves his baby sister and holding her helps him feel not so left out. He spent lots of time asking to hold her and then almost immediately pushing her off his lap. He was beginning to hold her for a few more seconds each time.
About Me
- Becky
- I started out as a daughter and sister. Then things progressed and suddenly I was also a young child and a friend. As I grew I became a teen who was boy crazy and also enjoyed singing and performing in musicals. For a brief time I was a college student and then a newlywed. I enjoyed working in the "real world" as a claims adjuster's assistant. Then out of nowhere I was suddenly grown up and taking on the most challenging role of my life, Mother of 4. Now the time has come for the role of daughter to join the main players at center stage with the additional of the title, "caregiver".
